4 Wheels for Work, an initiative of Employ Prince George’s, is a revolutionary effort to change lives, increase access to reliable transportation, while driving economic progress in Prince George’s County! In collaboration with Vehicles for Change, Full Circle Auto Repair & Training Center, the Prince George’s County Workforce Development Board, and the Prince George’s County Office of Central Services, 4 Wheel for Work awards vehicles to eligible Prince George’s County residents who have been offered employment or in need of reliable transportation to maintain employment.
Economic Equity Champions and the Prince George’s County Office of Central Services donate vehicles for the initiative. After receiving the vehicles, Employ Prince George’s and Vehicles for Change send them to the Full Circle Auto Repair & Training Center in Hyattsville, MD. The Training Center’s students, who are participating in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) approved training programs, restore them, and ensure they are able to pass Maryland’s Motor Vehicle Administration Vehicle Safety Inspection and Vehicle Emissions Inspection.
Wheels of hope are then matched with graduating students, job-seeking adults, and employed residents in need of reliable transportation.
