KEYS(Knowledge Equals Youth Success)

The KEYS (Knowledge Equals Youth Success) program is comprised of multiple components that serve youth who are disconnected from employment and education. We provide our services through the following programs

WHAT IS THE KEYS PROGRAM?

Knowledge Equals Youth Success (KEYS) Program is a part of the Youth Services division of EPG. Our programs are designed to provide young adults 18-24 years old with the necessary tools to become competitive in the workforce. KEYS provides career pathways, credential attainment, and supportive services to those who may face barriers to employment.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. A KEYS staff member will contact you.

KEYS Program Participants Must:
  • Be 18-24 years old
  • Be a Prince George’s county resident
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Not be in college
  • Not have a full-time job
Who Qualifies?

To qualify youth must be economically disadvantaged and they must be able to identify with one of the following barriers to participate in the KEYS Program:

  • Needs assistance with securing and maintaining a job or completing a training program
  • Deficient Literacy Skills (math/reading)
  • Homeless or Foster Child
  • Pregnant or Parenting
  • Involvement with the Justice System
  • Has a documented Disability
  • Never worked or lacks necessary Work Readiness Skills to acquire employment
HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Interested young adults should complete the interest form below and our Outreach & Recruitment Specialist will follow up with an invitation to attend our KEYS Information Session. Thank you!

Throughout each phase, KEYS program staff offers wraparound services including: Creation of an employment plan, transportation support, job coaching, mental health referrals, substance abuse referrals, housing referrals, clothing or uniform assistance, financial counseling, and much more!
