The KEYS program operates in four distinct phases, each designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and experience to thrive in the current economy.

• Phase 1: Application process, Assessment & Career Readiness Seminars

During this phase, applicants attend an information session, complete a grade-level assessment, and undergo the eligibility application process and interview. Participants also engage in Career Readiness Seminars, that are designed to build the skills needed to attain and maintain employment

• Phase 2: Program Enrollment, Career Exploration & Virtual

In Phase 2, participants may be required to attend academic remediation in reading or mathematics to enhance their foundational skills. Career exploration opportunities are provided to expose young adults to various career pathways. Additionally, participants engage in a virtual paid Work Experience, covering crucial areas such as customer service, leadership development, personal and professional growth, and time management

• Phase 3: Work Experience/Occupational Skills Training

Scholarships for Occupational Skills training and Paid Work Experiences are available during this phase. Participants receive support from a dedicated Job Coach and the KEYS team throughout this phase.

• Phase 4: Career Placement

In the final phase, participants are assisted in finding meaningful career placements that align with their skills, interests, and aspirations.
